About
Formed collects Christian teaching worth your time — sermons, songs, books, essays, and Bible studies — and says plainly why each one is here.
Some of it is written here. Most of it lives elsewhere: a sermon on a church’s YouTube channel, a song on the artist’s own channel, a book from its publisher. Either way, every entry carries a short note from the person who recommended it, explaining what makes it worth the time.
How to read an entry
Recommendations link to the original, and the uploading channel is shown so you can see that it comes from the church, artist, or label itself. Credits name the people who made the work: the speaker of a sermon, the writers and performer of a song, the author of a book.
Essays and Bible studies written here carry a depth marker:
- Intro — assumes no background. Start here.
- Core — assumes you are comfortable with the basic claims and want the substance.
- Deep — engages the harder exegetical and historical questions.
Everything is tagged by theme, and related pieces are grouped into series, so you can follow a subject across formats.
Who contributes
Contributions are signed. More than one person recommends and writes here, working from the shared commitments set out in Where We Stand — broadly Protestant, and deliberately not narrower than that. Beyond those commitments contributors differ, and the name on an entry is how you tell whose judgment you are reading.
List contributors here as they join.
Corrections
Add a contact address for corrections. If something here is wrong — a credit, a link, or an argument — please say so. Corrections are noted on the entry itself rather than quietly edited away.
